Who
I am
I think a lot, connect dots fast, and act on more ideas than most. I will challenge assumptions, push for clarity, and then roll up my sleeves and execute.
Where I stand
Team first does not mean low demands.
I create the conditions for people to perform, find out why things are not working, and set the line where it is needed.
Diagnose before you treat.
When something slips I ask why before I decide what to do. Then I set a standard, and if it keeps breaking despite support and clarity, I act.
Output, ownership, trust.
I judge a team on whether people deliver, take responsibility and can be relied on. Not on who is at their desk at 08:30.
Trust, not title.
I have run the campaigns myself, so I know what my team is going through. They can always come to me. People have to believe in you, and you earn that by being genuine.
Lateness is a symptom.
Sometimes it is trust and engagement. Sometimes it is just a bad habit. I find out which one, and then I act.
Brainstorm first, then execute.
I challenge assumptions, push for clarity, and then roll up my sleeves.
One more thing
Every new industry is a new grocery store.
The first time, you have no idea where anything is. After a few weeks you know which shelf the ketchup is on, and you get faster.
Go to the same store for too long and it stops being exciting. Then you need a new recipe, an aisle you have not walked down, or a new store.
